V is for Victory

Lets be honest here: any car whose engine description has a 'V' in it is probably going to make a good friend of your local garage. V6s, V8s and, Heaven forbid V12s, are proper petrolhead fodder but that enjoyment, like many things in life, comes at a price.  And it's a price that has been gradually escalating over the last few years.
But no more. Or certainly, no more Right Now. Because petrol prices, thank goodness, have tumbled. We may have the latest Cold War to blame for that but who frankly cares if it means the cost of driving your favourite V-powered classic cars has got cheaper.  And it has: a lot. Below is a comparison of how much cheaper it now is to hire some of our biggest gas guzzlers: you'll probably be surprised at how much you can now save. I've put together this data as a public duty (lets call it simply: Save The Interceptor) and out of a sense of civic duty: if you've always wanted to drive a Jensen Interceptor or V12 E Types there simply never has been a better time.  It may also help that Redditch has got the cheapest fuel in the country: 99.7p/litre at today's prices.

Of course, if fuel consumption should not be enough to put you off hiring any of these amazing cars, but the knowledge that it is cheaper than it has ever been might help. Factor in our price freeze across our fleet and it means you'll pay less overall to hire any of these cars today than at any point since 2009. Even as I write that sentence I ponder my sanity.

I am probably stupid

It may be a reflection of that insanity but I'm going to go further.  We all know that the price of fuel will go back up again, maybe not now, maybe not this year, but some time.

So, here's what I'll do: if you book hire days or buy a voucher for any of the cars below and the price of fuel moves over £1.10/litre before you hire the car during 2015, I'll refund the difference between £1.10/litre and the price you pay - up to 150 miles fuel usage per day.

Why am I doing that? Simple really: I want the cars to be used. If fuel prices stop that happening nobody benefits.

Never mind the Vs (and you forgot the V10!) - what about straight fives, sixes and (in older cars) eights? ;-)
